Scriptures I Live By

Published about 3 years ago • 2 min read

Hey Reader,

Did you know that our words create an agreement with the truth of God or the lies of the enemy?

I learned years ago that in order for me to accomplish the will of God for my life, I had to change my language. I had to align with the truth that God has prepared a table for me and it had to become my dominant vocabulary.

Agreeing with anything contrary to the word of God is like telling God he isn't strong enough to defeat the giant that stands in front of me.

One of the most powerful agreements I made was choosing to live by every word the proceeds out the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

How do I live by these words? I have scripture mantra's I say in response to the limiting lies and beliefs that are spewed. I find that one of the primary places I hear agreement with the lies of the enemy is within the body of Christ. This is why I am sharing this today. We can not release to others truths we don't carry first.

Unfortunately, many people want to believe that someone or something is hindering their seat at the table. That is the very lie that the enemy has used for centuries. Our words and decrees hinder us and often the enemy doesn't have to do anything or use anyone else because we, just like Eve, have done the work for him. We hand our authority over to him simply through agreements with false narratives and false truths.

So today, I want to ask you, what have you agreed with? Is it time for you to change your agreement?

Here are 5 Scriptures I Use when the enemy presents me with false truths about God's ability to be BIG in my life:

1.) For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. (Psalms 84:11)

2.) For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

3.) I will give him the key to the house of David—the highest position in the royal court. When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them; when he closes doors, no one will be able to open them. (Isaiah 22:22)

4.) Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (Psalms 90:17)

5.) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 1:2)

Many of these you may know, but it's time for you to actually start believing them.

Reader, I pray that these scriptures remind you of the God you serve and that the key to God doing exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think, as Ephesians 3:20 tells us, is you allowing the power to first work within you!

Have a blessed weekend!

Happy Monday Reader Did you know that focus is a choice? As we continue to adapt to the changing conditions around us, we can choose if we will be distracted or focused in each moment. Here is the catch, how we choose to focus today should not be based on how we chose to focus yesterday. Yesterday and today are not in competition with each other. I love track and although running is not my cup of tea, I get to be a track mom and watch my son, Darius, as he runs the 4x100 and the 4x400 relays....
